Crisfield Maryland WWTP uses Windpower

Crisfield Maryland is the home for the latest Aeronautica 750kW wind turbine.  The machine is located just behind the town's waste water treatment facility, and is connected to the Delmarva power grid.  The energy produced displaces energy the town spends to operate the plant.

Aeronautica Windpower 750kW wind turbines specified in Somerset County, MD

Associated Wind Developers, LLC, a MA-based renewable energy developer, has specified using 2 of Aeronautica Windpower's 54-750kW wind turbines in a community wind project in Somerset County, MD. The use of the turbines and power will be used to power the entire school district within Somerset County. The developer has won a $1.1M grant from the State of Maryland Energy Dept. to help implement this plan for purchasing, erecting, and making them operational in 2015. These turbines will match the other turbine project going into the Crisfield, MD waste water treatment plant in 2015 as well.

Aeronautica Windpower enters joint venture agreement with Siva Wind Turbine India Private Limited

Aeronautica Windpower entered into a business relationship with Siva Wind Turbine India Private Limited (Erode, India) to add to Aeronautica's mid-scale wind turbine product range with the addition of the 60 kW, 100 kW, 150kW, 200kW, 225kW, 250kW turbine models. With this JV partnership Aeronautica will now be manufacturing turbines in the US ranging from 60kW up to our 750kW model making it one of the premier mid-scale size turbine manufacturer's in the world. This addition strengthens our distributed generated wind position ideal for smaller applications, micro-grid scenarios, as well as to countries of the world with Feed in Tariffs (FITs) or other beneficial programs designed around wind turbines of a certain size and name plate capacity.

Aeronautica expects to deliver it's first 250kW turbine from this new relationship in early Q4, 2014.

Aeronautica Windpower solves blade manufacturing dilemma and partners with Energetx Composites on 26m blade (54m rotor) for the AW 750

Aeronautica Windpower entered into a business relationship with Energetx Composites (Holland, MI) to take over the blade manufacturing process to build for Aeronautica's 26m blade for the AW 54-750. Aeronautica's previous blade manufacturer entered into bankruptcy and closed operations in the US. Aeronautica moved their molds from the Evansville, IN facility to Holland, MI where Energetx Composites has a very large facility, manpower, and financial where-with-all to continue manufacturing the wildly successful blade for the AW750kW turbine. Production seen on the machine has proven to bring top-end results of nearly 820kW in peak wind condtions.

Aeronautica expects Energetx to have blades avaialable in Q3 of 2014 for projects Aeronautica is currently working on. Successful implementation of this design and blade has provided for a production and power curve that can rival the competition for turbines under 1MW.

Aeronautica Windpower partners with Global Blade Technology on 26m blade (54m rotor) for the AW 750

Aeronautica Windpower entered into a business relationship with Global Blade Technology, USA (GBT) to build the plug, molds, and tooling to build for Aeronautica's 26m blade for the AW 54-750. The blade design was performed by Wetzel Engineering in collaboration with Norwin A/S. This enhancement and imporovement on a time-tested turbine will dramatically change the output potential by 15-20% for Aeronautica's workhorse turbine.

Aeronautica expects GBT to have blades avaialable mid 2012 for projects Aeronautica is currently working on. This larger rotor is expected to be utilized on 3 projects in Ohio around Q3/Q4 of 2012. Successful implementation of this design and blade will provide for a production and power curve that can rival the competition for turbines under 1MW.

Aeronautica Windpower commissions its 3rd AW 54-750m turbine in Ohio

Aeronautica Windpower has successfully completed the commissioning of our third 54m rotor on our 750kW turbine. With the installation and commissioning of the AW 54-750 at Kenston HS in Chagrin Falls, OH, Archbold HS in Archbold, OH, and Pettisville HS in Pettisville, OH, Aeronautica Windpower has successfully completed the process started in 2010 bringing a new blade design to reality.
